Day 1 – Yangon Airport Pick-up and Sight-seeing in Yangon

Day 2 – Sight-seeing in Yangon

Day 3 – Flight to Mandalay and Sight-seeing in Mandalay

Day 4 – Sight-seeing in Mandalay

Day 1 – Arrive Yangon (by morning flight)

Upon arrival Yangon, tour guide will welcome you at the airport. Drive to hotel and check-in. Visit National museum. In the afternoon , visit Chaukhtutkyi Pagoda (reclining Buddha), U Thant House, Martyrs Mausoleum and Shwedagon Pagoda. Overnight at hotel.

Day 2 – Sight-seeing in Yangon

Drive to Downtown area from hotel. Morning Sight-seeing Walking tour includes Sule Pagoda, Stop in front of City Hall, Mahar Bandula Park with Independent monument,  hight court buildings and downtown area. In the afternoon, visit Bo Gyote (Scott) market, Botahtaung Pagoda and enjoy sunset from Botahtaung Jetty. Overnight at hotel.

Day 3 – Mandalay-Amarapura-Ava-Sagaing-Mandalay

Fly to Mandalay with morning flight. Local tour guide will welcome you at the airport. Drive to Amarapura (the city of Immortal) about 45 minutes and visit Mahargandayone monastry, famous U Bein Bridge (return for sunset), and silk-weaving cottage industry.  Take a boat to cross Myitnge River to Ava (used to be capital of Myanmar Kingdom since 1364). Take a horse cart to explore the ruins of old royal capital including famous Bagayar Monastery of 1834 with splendid teak wood, Nan Myint Tower (the unique evidence of old Inwa Palace) and Mahar Aungmyay Bonezan (MenuOakKyaung) brick monastery. In the afternoon, visit Sagain – silverware making at Yahtaun Village, Sagain Hill (notes as a religious retreat and has old monasteries and nunneries), Umin-thonese Pagoda and Son-U-Ponyashin Pagoda. Overnight at hotel in Mandalay.

Day 4 – Mandalay-Mingun-Mandalay (by boat and car)

In the morning, visit to Mahamyatmuni Pagod, marble stone curving workshop, wood curving/tapestry/marionette making workshop, traditional gold leaf making industry, Shwenandaw (Golden Monastry), UNESCO listed Kuthodaw pagodas with 729 stone tablets (known as World’s largest book), Mandalay Royal Palace and Mandalay Hill where you can enjoy 360 degree view of Mandaly city. After lunch, take a boat trip for about an hour to Mingun to see Mingun Bell (World’s largest untracked ringing bell), Myatheindan pagoda with distinct architectural style, Phahtodawgy Pagoda (famous unfinished pagoda) and Aged Care Centre. Return back to Mandalay by boat. Overnight at hotel.  (Please advise us if you want to explore Mandalay by bike)

Day 5 – Boat trip to Bagan

One day boat trip to Bagan from Mandalay along Ayawaddy River. Very pleasant trip with lunch on boat. Can observe the daily lives of people living along Ayawaddy River and enjoy unforgettable beautiful sunset from Ayawaddy River. Arrive Bagan in the evening. Local tour guide will welcome you. Overnight at hotel.

Day 6 – Sight-seeing in Bagan

After breakfast at hotel, visit Naung Oo local market, Shwezigon Pagoda (a prototype of real Myanmar stupa built in 1087), Gubyaukgyi Pagoda for its famous mural painting of Buddha’s life, famous Ananda Temple with four standing Buddha Images and visit Myingaba village to learn about Myanmar fine art Lacquer wear making industry. Visit Tharabar Gate, Htilominlo temple for its plaster carvings, Nan Phaya temple, Manuha Temple, and Sulamani Temple. Enjoy sunset of Bagan from Shwesandaw pagoda. Overnight at hotel.

Day 7 – Second day Sight-seeing in Bagan

After breakfast at hotel, visit Manuha Temple, Dhamayangyi Temple, That Bin Nyu Temple (tallest structure in Bagan), Upali Thein to see fine mural art. Tayoke Pyay Temple to contemplate the vista of Bagan, Payathonezu temple with well preserved murals of 13th century, Nandamnya Temple, Phwar Saw village to see the ways of life the typical Myanmar locals of that area and Buphaya Pagoda. Spend your evening in a boat while experiencing the beautiful sunset from the mighty Ayeyarwaddy River. You will be taken to a spot downstream mid-river to catch the sunset. Relaxing and enjoyable way to end a day after temple hopping.  Overnight at hotel. (Please advise us if you want to explore Bagan by bike)

Day 8 – Flight to Heho and Pindaya-Kalaw

Morning flight to Heho and local guide will welcome you. Drive to Pindaya about two and half hours. Visit famous Shwe U Min Cave with 8094 Buddha images, made of white marble, bronze or plaster. Drive to Kalaw about two and half hours. Visit to Kalaw view point who you can enjoy the breath-taking view and Hnee Pagoda, a 500-year old bamboo pagoda. Overnight at hotel.

Day 9 – Sightseeing in Kalaw and Inle lake

Visit Kalw market where villagers from surrounding hills come and sell the products and enjoy beautiful weather of Kalaw in the morning. Drive to Inle lake for about two hours. On the way, visit paper umbrella and traditional Shan paper making cottage industry. Then proceed to 22km long and 11km wide Inle Lake (the blue sea of Shan State), take a long-tailed motorboat. Visit Inpaw Khon village for its traditional silk-weaving, Nan-Pan Village for its cheroot making, blacksmith and boat making, famous Phaung-Daw-Oo Pagoda, Ywa-ma village for its silversmith, floating farms and gardens, floating huts and famous Nge-Pe-Chaung monastery (one of the oldest monastery in Inle lake) with jumping cats. Check-in to hotel in Inle Lake. Enjoy sunset and dinner at hotel and overnight.

Day 10 – Sightseeing in Inle lake

Another beautiful day in Inle lake. By long-tailed motored boat, visit 5 days market (migrates from one lakeside village to another on a five-day rotation system except on Sabbath day), Shwe Indein Pagodas, where there are huge collections of 1000 Pao Style stupas in ruins dated back to 12th and 18th centuries.

Day 11 – Sightseeing in Taunggyi

After breakfast, drive to Taunggyi and visit Htan-San Cave (1 hour drive from Taunggyi). Visit Shan State Cultural museum. Lunch at Aurora restaurant. Drive to Kakku Pagoda where thousands of closely packed pagodas can be seen which are dated back to 12th century. Drive back to Taunggyi and visit AyeTharyar vineyard. Then, back to Inle. Overnight at hotel.

Day 12 – Flight to Yangon from Heho

Drive to Heho to catch the flight to Yangon. Join international flight at the airport.
